        ^ Horizontally opposed like the BMW bikes. Porsche also has a flat six config. BMW calls it a Boxer engine.

                Being horizontally opposed , the cranks are perfectly balanced hence lesser vbrations , (less mass ) no counter weights , and better space managment .
