I was about to point that out

TBH, such a pathetic comment (from yelloos), I feel such people should take a hike. No use in commenting on this post.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

I even thought that vipin got a new id just to make such statements here on xBHP. I don't love Bajaj but just don't get me started on Honda/HH.
Bajaj has a pretty good thin going on with its product line up and its slowly moving ahead with real tech than just sticker/cowl job!

Guys, let's forget yelloos' comment and get with the topic... He obviously didn't maintain a Bajaj bike properly in the past.

HH is in pretty much same situation as of Maruti.. it's interesting to see how these companies respond to competition with just service network and no technology of their own!
You're right. At the end, their dependency on their Jap-partners is too damn high.

I mean, think about it... They're No.1 and STILL, they have so many profit issues..

What if tomorrow, the country stops trusting them or drops them to 3rd or 4th position, wouldn't they be totally doomed?

This was also said earlier when CT-100 & Platina sales were sky rocketing. Look what happened to them. To top the sales chart is a tough job. But to maintain it is the tougher one!

God knows why people dump bajaj's 100cc after a year or two!

Bajaj would definitely find it tough to overtake the desi 'Suplender'[]....Though with Honda decreasing its interest in the HH venture, the road is wide open...

In a typical Business scenario...It does not happen.
Not a single corporate like HH will not have a backup plan in case of such events.
I dont see HH to be in trouble even if Honda leaves them. They have lots of money and quite a few companies from outside that are intersted in joint venture again. And HH has very good amount of financial reserves.

HH must have learnt from Honda for so many years in past...unless its a dud company to see its downfall.

And coming to topic...competeion always brings out best..! Its all Oscillating force behind it.

I'm sure they have backup plans, but so far HH is selling vehicles with Honda engines and we all know how lot of people out there repeatedly say Honda is a Honda. I can't imagine how Hero group will get such a strong partner in 2014. And to top it, they will have to establish the JV again (of course, not the service network). It's better if Hero group starts trying something on their own, while the JV is on. At least they can expect some inputs from the current JV partner and would be in a better shape when the obvious happens. Don't think Honda is going to continue the JV forever.. even if it does, don't see them giving access to any new engines from now on as they are directly in the market with HMSI.
