    yamaha giving discounts to students for rs3000 on fz16 and fzs and there is also a referral scheme going on for everyone....
    hope you can avail these schemes.

          3k is too little a discount for such a expensive bike.

          Even Apple offers a discount of 12% to university students if they carry their id card along.

            I remember this scheme was running some time back aswell as one of the yamaha showroom in my city had kept an r15,fz and a fz-s for display in my college premises and was promoting a similar scheme.

            PS:- The bikes are still lying in dust at a corner with no one cater them.

              considering what the dealer margin is on the FZ series, and the fact that they are selling like hot cakes... not really. I think its a good marketing strategy that worked well for them last year, and will rake in the sales till diwali this year again.

                        Nobody is perfect here and mods are no gods either, They are human beings too and they can make mistakes. When one person makes mistakes here, its the duty of others to point it out and let the authorities take the corrective action. This universal rule applies to everyone here and this is how this community has sustained itself.

                        People have made mistakes earlier and will make in the future too, but wise people learn from their mistakes and rise above the rest and not vent out their frustration unnecessarily when reminded of their mistakes.
