I don't think the pictures above are of Vespa's. They look some antiquated chinese knock offs. Maybe Cartrade used the pictures for reference only.

I am so waiting for Vespa's to come in. A black retro one with a cream seat for me please!

well i guess you are right
for me the price looks mouth watering. But i doubt if they will price it that low. But unfortunately this scooter would be comercially available by 2012 only

Those two images doesn't looks Vespa to me. And 32K is too hard ro believe, most probably it will play as a niche scooter brand unless they make some India specific models.

Initially Piaggio will launch a 125cc single cylinder 4-stroke scooter with electronic injection. It will have a fuel tank capacity of 8.5L and will have automatic transmission
Except the 125CC, all other technology sounds interesting; wish they'd increased their CC's & priced around 45K+.

the automatic scooters are already "badnaam" for getting a very low mileage & by the time this scooter launches i.e. 2012 the fuel prices would be touching a new heights so even the 125cc's are to high for me from the fuel efficiency perspective.

I expect a good job from FI; Frankly I'm tired of hearing the "mileage kya hai", atleast that doesn't work with me. I only wish for some good powerful & comfortable scooters for touring.

Those scooters sure dont look like Vespas.
Vespas to me are the rounded classic ones (Like the ones Sunny photographed in Italy).
If those scoots are brought to India. I will buy myself one for sure, even if they say its for women.

Yes, the modern Vespas are retro styled, and easily recognizable. the scooters shown in the pic are completely out of proportion. looks like they were Made in Taiwan.
