I like the "... entirely different from the current breed of 100cc bikes" part.

    Speculative Thread Approved
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Nice to hear this - an Entirely Different 100cc segment........
So can we expect anything with More Power???
I dont think so Stunner occupied the 125cc Market rather........

What do you expect? A 110cc bike belting out 37Bhp and returning 75kmpl with smooth aerodynamics, twin spar frame and incredible handling... all at an affordable price of 45K INR?

              @Ken......Your in your Own Imaginations.........

I said an 100cc with more power means a 100cc is been titled as only a Commuter AFA India is Concerned (leave away RX and other Two strokes im talking about 4 strokes)

So if an 100cc gets atleast the power figures of an 125cc then it will give the Honda bikes a Run....for its power and Style......

And dint you read its a Honda......

After capturing almost 75% of 100cc market, I donno what do they exactly want.
May be if all the other companies exit that segment, they would feel good that whatever is sold in India (in that segment) is a Honda....!

Goshh....one more 100cc commuter bike by them...

                On a serious note:
This is a very clever step by Honda. If this once clicks, all probability have it saying..."Ba byee Hero" in 2014 or after that.
If it doesnt, they already are worlds largest seller.
Though they always claim initially before launching a product that ther (HHs and HMSIs) products would not eat up each others pie (too much)
But almost all products have cannibalized each other and what sells is a Honda (be it HH or H)

125cc- Shine, glmaor, super splendor (stunner could probably be called as a different class)
150cc- Unicorn, CBZ X, Hunk, Achiever
                Scoots- Pleasure,activa,aviator,dio

                And now 100cc....!

Anyways, good that our fathers would have more options to choose from.....

                    Yeah yeah. A little maybe.

But hey... just for the record; have you checked out the Gladiator SS that came out some nearly two years ago. Even today, despite being just a 125cc beats the crap outta most 150cc (barring the R15) in most departments be it build type, quality, weight, outright acceleration, top-end, handling etc... Just a thought.

I was made to see certain such realities of underdog bikes by some low key esteemed members of xBhp, people who understand bikes way better than I ever will but people who do not speak much online!

I would love it if Honda brought out a product similar to that.

....with production of just under 17K per month....expect another long queue at HMSI dealerships.....

PS : it's not 100cc but 110cc bike, Honda revised the plan for HMSI owing to HH's pressure and shelved off 100cc bike (which was the original plan).....

                        On a second thoughts

Is it the recently developed 109cc engine for Activa and new Aviator...?
I mean looking at how honda shares the same engine across models, this is quite a probability...right..!

I would love to see that happen! I'm too bored of the 2-300 Passions&Splendors in my office parking lot! A couple of Bullets, 10 Pulsars, 2-3 FZs&RTRs&finally my lone R15!

I felt the same when they launched the Stunner. But after that I started loving the Gladiator all the more!
