    NH-24 from Delhi to Dasna to be widened!!

    P.s.: Indeed a very good news personally for me and for a lots of people who travel between Delhi and Ghaziabad and also a lot of Kumaon lovers Those who have been to this stretch know how badly it needs the widening work. Hope it gets completed soon.

      This means the road will be dug up for the next 500 years and will be full of diversions.

      People will be crashing everywhere and toll booths will come up.

          Tell me has any project in India ever been completed on due date?

          And we all know about the quality of work that the contractors carry out.

            Any ways.....the news is really great. Anyhow the project was sanctioned a long ago..(i think in mid 2005, after rainy season that year) but it was in junk bag!! Lets see if those promises go for real. Amen

            Uttranchal lovers and ghaziabad 'livers' will breath relief now (Lal Kuan flyover is a similar blessing)

              First you cry about how roads will be dug up for hundreds of years and how people would keep crashing. Now you have the typical Indian rona-dhona about the quality of the work...

              what do you want basically?? Do you know of a way you can widen the existing road without digging up or making the diversions??

              and on top of that, you didn't even bother to read the above report which says that it WON'T be toll road.

              I am amazed to see how negative people can be....

                I dont want to comment on the speed with which this project will be accomplished, but I still am glad that finally, one fine day, I will be able to ride to few places that are out of my list for the time being, owing to the amazing roads and impressive traffic.

                Perhaps, it will in turn get us more write ups in Tourer section which as of now is dominated to a large extent by trips to Himachal Pradesh. And I hope, my bike, my age and my Kids ( I will have one by that time) permits me to see the unexplored regions of Kumaon.

                  There's hope atlast... for people living in that stretch..... I've been living there for the last 18 months before moving to Dwarka and I know what a big sigh of relief it can give to motorists all along the stretch... espcially from UP Gate till a little beyond Lal Kuan...

                    I understand and share your frustration and anger over the kind of corruption and work that gets done in India. But we have to live with it and see the positive sides only, otherwise we will definitely keep banging our heads!

                        thats a very solid news NH-24 is walking distance from my house it will be great but Manan bhai don't forget Highway is extending only till your home... not fully but yes it will help me to reach your home in no time
