Actually, if it runs on a track like a tram then there would be no accidents, vehicles could just go under it. but if runs right on the road then there will be issues. plus I wonder if this will be a success. I imagine it would be very expensive to run one of these machines and so naturally the entry will be to a select few who can pay that extra money to get there in time. maybe they could make it run on solar power and run it only during peak hours, twice in the morning, twice in the evening. reducing traffic and keeping the idea afloat at the same time. those guys should call me for more ideas

it seems from pictures that any stupid driver (or maybe drunk) could try to drive on the tram tracks and would be run over by that huge-ass bus.

Seems to be a marvel of achievement. It would work well in the U.S. where people follow rules and has lane discipline. But imagine the plight if the same is introduced in India where people, animals and what not move around in the street ...... You know how.

neat... quite possible in the distant future.

i had a similar concept at a project for college back in 2004.

didn't end up making a working model of it tho.

An interesting idea. But for a MRTS, Metro is the best idea! Nothing beats the Metro.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

                      Damn, its a running tunnel!

Good idea, but somehow the idea seems power consuming. Not great for the 21st century, is it?

To Drag that structure would itself require a lot of power and so, a lot of fuel/ electricity. It could be more efficient with dedicated tracks and not so much height.

@ ken: I agree, Metro seems like a better and more practical idea overall.

Looks good & a fast transport to me.
The thing which attracted me is "it uses a part of its energy from solar panels on its above"

Anyways it would be a horrific scene if the tunnel oopps the bus is going from above & at the same time some vehicle comes beneath its wheels while overtaking.

hmmm.. chinese imagination!!! to say the least.. an MRTS with dedicated tracks can be laid with 1/10 of the cost, I think and can be run at 1/10 of the power required for this monstrous bus..

On a lighter note.. cars like Nano.. will fly along with this due to drag, if it were to be implemented in India
