  • The Devil has arrived

The official Ducati website slated 1st, November, 2010 as the day when the world would see the birth of a new Devil, the Ducati Diavel. Sticking to it's commitment, Ducati officially launched the Ducati Diavel, just before the EICMA Milan Bike Show.

There are two variations of the Diavel -
    1) The Diavel (210.01 kg of curb weight)
    2) The Diavel Carbon (206.83 kg of curb weight) with carbon fiber body panels

Powered by a 1098.4cc Testastretta 11 (Crankshaft rotating at 11 degree), the Diavel produces a 162 hp of top end power and 127.44 Nm torque.

Amongst the many features the bike boasts off... the most impressive ones in opinion are the Ducati Ride by Wire Throttle and the 3 mode Ride Control, with 162 hp Sports, 162 hp with progressive power deliver Touring and 100 hp Urban. The Diavel also has the Ducati Traction Control system. Above all, Both the versions of the Diavel come with Bosch-Brembo ABS as standard kit.

Clearly the Diavel does not fall in the league of 200 hp monsters like Yamaha V-Max as I was originally thinking, but true to Ducati's legacy, it's a B.E.A.U.T.Y!!

More details on the Ducati Diavel official website.
Twist your wrist and feel the shift!!

    This looks amazing.

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

      here's some more info

      $16995 MSRP Standard model
      $19995 MSRP Carbon
      $20395 MSRP Carbon Red

looks like there is a rear seat... just hidden beneath the cowl

Passengers on the Diavel will appreciate the way the slender passenger footpegs ingeniously fold down from the rear sub-frame as well as the innovative, T-bar shaped grab-rail assembly, which slides out from the rear of the seat.

      and a youtube video..

YouTube - Ducati Diavel - hard to be seen, easy to be noticed.

The front is imposing but the whole tank scoops/fins section (or whatever it is called) looks overdone.

Looks beautiful; at one look it reminded me of HD V-Rod Nightster - length - fwd controls

Powered by a 1098.4cc Testastretta 11 (Crankshaft rotating at 11 degree), the Diavel produces a 162 hp of top end power and 127.44 Nm torque.
          ^^^ is really drooling!!!

Can someone help me understand what's the crankshaft rotating at 11 degree? I couldn't understand that part.

                  Right

But we need to know which one is worth going for so that we can suggest to others who are interested in purchasing.

If he has the money, he can buy either/both without batting an eyelid! Suggest the one which he would lend to you once in a while!
