The state Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted raids on various regional transport offices in the state to probe alleged irregularities in payment of vehicle professional tax collected from tourist and light carrier vehicles, including trucks, taxis, tempos and delivery vans.
When asked whether there were any irregularities in the professional tax payment, Kharatmal refused to comment. Meanwhile, a senior RTO officer said that apart from the profession tax, the authorities are also likely to look into some other documents.
