MV Agusta is known for both performance and aesthetics, and the F3 is no different. The key styling detail of the F3 is the triple pipe side exit muffler, a perfect example of design and function working in harmony.
The heart of the F3 is an inline 675cc three cylinder, the same layout that powered Giacomo Agosini, Mike Hailwood, and others to multiple world championships, while updated with sophisticated materials and technology for the modern era. MV Agusta claims the engine is "the most compact, incredible short and narrow engine ever seen in this category." One of the many technical features is the counter- rotating crankshaft, which has never before been seen on a production Supersport engine.
The electronics Ride By Wire, a first for MV and the Supersport class, with multi-maps to optimize power in all conditions. The MV TC traction control has been incorporated into the engine control system raising the dynamic control to a new level on the F3.
The advanced frame design incorporates a mix of steel tubing and aluminum side plates that wrap around the 675cc engine. Because the engine is so compact, it allows an exceptionally long single-sided swingarm that enhances traction and feedback. The swingarm is sprung by a Sachs rear shock, with Marzocchi forks handling the bumps up front.
The Brembo front radial brake calipers and discs are fed by a Nissin radial master cylinder.
