        Yes, it should be.

Although, Bajaj did state somewhere that they won't get carried away by the brotherhood, and they'll focus on their product lines first, the Pulsar and the Discover.

"Every component is not common, but the basics, like crank cases, shafts and gears, are very similar. So, the trick is one must have scale at the back end, but one must also have specialisation in the front. So, at the front end one, we will sell a (Kawasaki) Ninja, a (KTM) Duke and a (Bajaj) Pulsar, but at the back end, they may have lot of commonality," Bajaj said.

"With the same people, same knowledge, same standards, they will be making those common parts," Bajaj stated.
Parts sharing, so what's new? I guess this is happening since xx years.

But financially, they're very much correct about parts sharing being economical.

The downside is that the bikes lose their character & individuality.. Here, It's nice to know that visible parts are not shared.
Crank, etc. can be shared without bikes losing their individuality, atleast on the looks front.

Obviously the looks and individual brand identity will be different. For example, the same Fiat Diesel Engine does its duty on Tata cars, Maruti Cars and Fiat cars.. but the cars have it own individual identity.

another example would be the Unicorn's engine finding its way on the CBZ Xtreme, Hunk, Achiever and CB Unicorn Dazzler.

The best possible scenario from the KTM-Kawasaki-Bajaj alliance would be if a Kawasaki/KTM engine makes it on the Pulsar.

Higher displacement vfm Pulsars with KTM-Kawasaki derived engines

            Amen to that...

One thing is for sure.. Bajaj is destined for bigger, better things, which is very good for Indian biking.
