Which advertisement are you talking about? Will it be of existing lineup or something new(bike) is in pipeline?

Well i hope its a pulsar 250 with four valves dts-i or fi ..i think styling would be carried over from the p220 to make it part of the pulsar family.. pricing will be close to the old dts-fi since they carburetted the p220 and bought the price down...hope for the best bajaj never disappoints when it comes to surprises.

                      yea i read that too.
but bike india makes such predictions every year always including the line "inside/reliable sources" but more than half of them dont come true. case in point a 250cc yamaha.. they said it last year too cause i was waiting for it but it never came !! besides if the P250 is road ready then why aren't there any pictures of it? and why is bike india the only magazine to uncover it? they put invisible paint on it when doing road tests? plus being 3months away from launch shouldnt the dealers be notified?! i called and asked 3 PBKs none had any clue about any new bike.

                        Pulsar 250

                        What i'd like to see

                        4 Valve
                        Fuel Injected
Reliable, powerful, butter Smooth, fuel efficient engine & Racing Mono suspension at the rare (Traits of Unicorn)
                        Sound like a race bike
Fully fared (Semi fared bikes like P220 look very ugly and odd)
Top Notch quality, Very reliable and no defects (According to popular perception Bajaj bikes are not reliable and full of defects)
Completely new looks (Pulsar has become too common and boring and the tail section doesn't suit the front section in any way)
ABS (Required for high speed safe braking)
All this granted, then Pulsar 250cc will be naturally >30Bhp CBR250 won't come anywhere close to P250.

This will make P250 a revolutionary bike and Indians' normal criteria will move to 250cc now. And it will certainly outdo any other 250cc bike in global market.
                        Four wheels move a BODY,
                        Two wheels move a SOUL...

^^^ If about 60% of that comes true that would be an awesome deal.

Let us do a reality check:

                          >> 4 Valve - Very likely. Nothing new to Bajaj
                          >> Fuel Injected - Very likely. Nothing new to Bajaj
                          >> Reliable - As subjective as looks
                          >> powerful - very likely. nothing new to Bajaj
                          >> butter Smooth - If not butter smooth, smooth is likely. Wish the smoothness lasts longer.
                          >> fuel efficient engine - very likely. don't expect 60 KMPL
                          >> Racing Mono suspension - Possible
                          >> Sound like a race bike - No big deal. Bajaj can do it. But don't expect an in-line four kind of roar from a single pot.
                          >> Fully faired - I expect Bajaj to think practically and not go fully faired. Even if they do, they would have a other options.
                          >> Top Notch quality, Very reliable and no defects (According to popular perception Bajaj bikes are not reliable and full of defects) - Hope is good. Day Dreaming is bad. Wish they prove me wrong and make me eat my words a few years down the line.
                          >> Completely new looks - Wish they do and it is very likely.
                          >> ABS (Required for high speed safe braking) - Not likely. That's not easy.

TVS has integrated ABS on Apache, Shouldn't be a big deal for Bajaj!

There should be two versions of the bike, one full fared and another naked (FZ16/Fazer type)

Quality will certainly improve, thanks to all those years of experience and curses that it has got from it's costumers. They'll prove you wrong a few months down the line!

It should sound like a 4 cylinder, then it'll be fun

Smoothness they've already achieved on the New Discover and Pulsar 135LS. They should go some inches ahead and achieve butter smoothness

Bajaj, TVS etc.. Have no choice but to improve their quality, reliability and make their products long lasting. Or else their market share will be swallowed by Honda

Increasing dealerships.. getting ready for big launch!! I think that may not be the bigger pulsar/bigger ninja thing.. It should probably for commuters.. may be a boxer refresh or plating lpg/cng whatever.. If it's a bigger Pulsar.. more than happy to see it and wish it brings a lot to table in light of CBR250's entry into the scene.
