Is it difficult than designing Pulsar from scratch when everybody knew Bajaj as a scooter-manufacturer? come on.. even TVS is giving it to Apache... not at all a big deal for Bajaj to bring it in.

      +Infinity

TVS was a "Scooty" and "XL Heavyduty" manufacturer, But developed a masterpiece like Apache from scratch.

lol! Some of these comments are funny!

        R&D is NOT cheap!
Food for thought Why dont we see Monoshocks on Indian bikes yet? How difficult would that be?

Question is how many of them genuinely in need of mono shock?? The kind of top speeds our bikes get to.. it doesn't make a lot of difference.. may be couple of bikes like Karizma/P220 are better off with monoshock.. otherwise it doesn't add much. For P220 it's ruled out due to parts sharing.. but I expect that inthe next upgrade!! For Karizma.. absent for obvious reasons.

^^I don't get why monoshock would make any difference with the topspeed of a bike or viceversa....it would definitely add more to the ride quality, handling of the bike on the track or more so on our pathetic roads...

One of the reasons why monoshock is used.. is to prevent tail wagging at high speeds.. I don't think it makes a lot of difference at normal speeds.. whatever the road condition is.. just ride a bike with nitrox suspension if you have any more doubts.

^^Thanks..got that....i remember feeling the rear wobbling/floating when I rode my CBZ near 100Kph..thought it was the low tyre pressure...

                  Hi

Bajaj has to work on the handling- big time! and the brakes, please make ones which help retard speed efficiently, my rear disc just makes the tyre lock up and skid. what's the point in all that speed if it cannot be controlled efficiently.

I love pulsars though, something about them!

Bajaj isn't releasing any info about the bigger pulsar because it's probably watching what the mojo, cbr 250 will be like and probably release the bike around the same time to give the prospective buyers a pulsar to fall back on!! clever strategy. I wonder when companies like Hero and Bajaj will start R&D (let alone production) on twin cylinder bikes which are in excess of 400cc and can be called superbikes!

maybe a diesel pulsar 400cc four cylinder churning out 50bhp by 2020? possible!

Bajaj does need to increase its dealership for its premium products..... 220, Avenger & Ninja can be bought only from PBK's or special order..... so, they need to increase their PBKs' to reach every town worth investing..... & 130 dealers means atleast 100 new towns or new cities where these PBKs' will be opened..... n if this assumption is true then a hell lotta new bikes are coming from Bajaj..... KTM, bigger Ninja & bigger Pulsars ..... are all these bikes gonna be launched on a single day .....
so, this gonna be a great year for all of us(conditions applied).....

& if the its for commuter section, then Bajaj already have great network chain..... & just for releasing Boxer, their seems no logic to increase the dealership by 130.....

                      lets wait & watch.....

Bike India says its the "Boxer" that's returning back, for the rural market. BUT, with a 150cc engine though for farmers, load pullers, etc.
Could it be the Discover 150 engine with some cost cutting, like drum brakes, etc.?

But, I really wish it to be Ninja 650. I would be buying it if it comes early (around April please!). Otherwise, CBR 250 might be the compromise I'd go for.

Please Kawasaki... Start the bookings atleast?
