    how many know volkswagen is owned by porsche?! lol

    but i personally think its a premature move. the indian market isnt developed enough for that. i would go so far as to say they might even role it back. as of now the reasons for this move are unfounded. bajaj has much better brand holding than pulsar anyday. pulsar came into being only in 2000s. bajaj has been around longer. its not like people before 2000 just dropped dead. among them the name bajaj holds much water than pulsar or worse discover !

      True; but their operations are independent & Porsche's interference is only w.r.t management, the end outputs are independent of this merger.

        I partially agree with you. Yes, from a customer's point of view this might be right. When Beamers and Mercs can sell a 5 series or an E class with different engines (believe me there are atleast 4-5 options for each) why shouldn't bajaj? It is not like the 220 becomes an eyesore with the same design, is it? As long as the performance differs in each i'm good.
