  • Speeding biker in YouTube video jailed

    Hi All

I found this article in Team BHP thought of posting it here . If i have done some thing wrong please do not approve this post

A motorcyclist who posted a video on the Internet of him riding at speeds up to 130 miles per hour (208 kilometres per hour) and doing dangerous stunts in Britain was jailed for 12 weeks on Monday.
A clip posted on video-sharing website YouTube showed 28-year-old Sandor Ferenci performing a variety of motorcycle tricks, including wheelies and skids, on his Yamaha R6 bike as well as racing on the wrong side of the road near Oxford, central England, in June.
Prosecutors said a motorist who observed Ferenci's stunts took down his registration number and passed it to police, who traced him to his home.
When officers arrived to question him, at the time unaware of the Internet clip, Ferenci immediately asked: "Is this about the YouTube video?"
Police then viewed the footage, filmed by a friend from various angles, which showed Ferenci performing skids, wheelies, wheelspins, causing the tyres to smoke and driving at excessive speeds.
Though prosecutors were not able to specify the maximum speed he had driven at, they estimated he may have reached speeds of up to 130 miles per hour.
Judge Terence Maher told Ferenci, who works as a caregiver for an elderly woman, that he posed a risk both to himself and other road users, adding that the 12-week sentence was intended to send a message that "if you drive in this way and are caught, serious consequences will follow."
In addition to the jail sentence, Ferenci, who pleaded guilty to two counts of dangerous driving, was also barred from driving for two years and told he would have to take an extended driving test before he is allowed on the road again.

I don't know what reaction this post is supposed to evoke but i find it absolutely proper of the action taken on this Ferenci guy, funny name BTW, it would be nice if someone can send us the link of the video too
I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

Ya. Remember that video where the biker is lying on his bike texting on SMS, while speeding on a highway? That was India, and nothing of such sort happened.

                      Hi folks

Yes its true that the Indian police is not that strict or for many other reasons , such bikers escape . I do never say that showcasing once talent is wrong but it should not be done on open roads with no precautions. The motive behind me posting this was not to offend any one around .The boys who do all these stunts are really blessed in one way .Its a talent and certainly should be seen by others and appreciated.

The question is How Legally can that be done & How safely the task can be carried out . We should not make people around say that these boys are rowdies and the Indian police is not doing any thing about it . That should never be the case . Do it legally . Even Police men do stunts on Bullets for parades .
