You might have something better friend
Trust me,you won't be killed by what would be right for you.

        Anyways,
Victory bikes are nice alternative to most of the Harley's
But they are yet to make something low budget like Iron883 and Superlow883
or a performance focused bike like the Vrod (VRSC-series)

As of now the only competitors of VRSC and 883 bikes would be the Triumph Rocket 3 bikes and Hyosung ST7 respectively.

Polaris to begin Indian operations by September 2011.

The American company that manufactures a comprehensive range of off-road vehicles is all set to enter India and has made the selection for its creative, retail and BTL agencies.

The US-based manufacturer of all-terrain vehicles (ATV) is all set to begin operations by September, 2011, through a wholly-owned subsidiary. For its India launch, the company, through a multiple-agency pitch (the names of the agencies could not be obtained at the time of filing this report), has assigned its creative duties to Future Uday.

At the same time, it has assigned the mandate to manage its design of retail outlets and below-the-line (BTL) activities to Cheil Worldwide. The size of the account is estimated to be in the range of Rs 7-8 crore.

Confirming the development, Pankaj Dube, country head, Polaris India, says, "The idea is to build a strong brand presence which we felt can be fulfilled through both Future Uday and Cheil Worldwide."

According to media reports, the company will be based in Delhi, and is in the process of finalising 10 dealers for opening its first few dealerships across the country. Polaris plans to import fully-built units of a few models, but with increase in volumes, it is ready to look at local assembly of vehicles.

The company initially plans to launch two models -- 4x4 ATVs and Ranger off-road jeeps.

For the record, Polaris Industries is a manufacturer of snowmobiles, ATV, and neighbourhood electric vehicles. Based in Medina, Minnesota, USA, the company also manufactures motorcycles through its subsidiary, Victory Motorcycles.

              So What?

Technically all the bike makers will be here in future. MV Agusta, Aprilia,Victory,etc..
The real good news will be when the duties are slashed! Till then it is just uninspiring dug dug dug bikes.
