Wow a RE museum would be a treat for Indian enthusiasts. Whatever we say about their bikes, we cant deny that no other Indian company comes close to them in terms of history. I dont know what business models museums abroad follow (besides the entry fee) but I think RE will be able to leverage the merchandising model pretty effectively. Imagine collecting scale models of different RE's .... Sigh !

If RE tells they are gonna do something (museum) alike mercedes they should also accept orders on spares of older models ,what the mercedes people are doing till date So that legendary models of the previous generation(G2 bullets and even modern day machismo's , STD 500) do not vanish from biking history; Mr.Padmanaban please take this issue seriously ; Bulleteers lets stand along and give voice on this

That could be there. By the way you could write to him. He has been involved with Daimler Chrysler for years before getting into Royal Enfield. I m sure he will get the message.

Whats with the RE bashing all the time eh!!! The REs did evolve slowly but its still a legend in itself. It was never intended to sell in outright numbers like the other player in India!

Took me some time to decode your post since the punctuations were missing. In India if you do write to the customer care of large companies and follow up, you will get a response to your queries / complaints in most cases. Painting all companies with the same brush isnt right.

Agreed they re a legend but the Company has more important concerns to deal with before their museum or all the marketting hype they do like getting their production in place, supplying spares and offering consistent quality to their customers. Their bikes come at a premium and if they are inconsistent with their quality it is surelly going to invite the ire of a paying customer!
