Damn!!! TVS is looking tard dull in terms of sales compared to other two of them. I'm really nervous because at this rate TVS is likely to be bought over by some two-wheeler giant or soon a JV will be formed with TVS not in the upper hands

Tvs better upgarde their armoury quick or they'll surely go down....
Personally I dont think Apache Abs will be much successfull.

In terms of growth in profit, TVS has infact shown 100% increase in profit over last 2009-10 Q3.

Bajaj's profit will rise upward because they use low quality materials no offence to anyone..

If you mean no offense, then why say something like that? Ever heard of the word "flamebait" or "troll"? Anyway, move along, nothing to see here.

That is a highly incorrect statement. There're million other ways through which the profits margins can be made & not necessarily using low quality of parts to increase profits.

Pulsar has really changed the entire Indian 2-wheeler scenario. I am damn sure earlier the bars of HH would be like Bajaj and rest everything would be like TVS.

Got to say, proud to be a Pulsar owner ( but feels like kicking it sometimes because of all those noises from here and there).

What should really make you say that. Everyone's free ofcourse to air their views but shouldn't it be supported with some facts? Do you have any? I have owned a Pulsar 180 for more then 8 years now without having any quality issues and just before that I owned an Enfield Machismo which gave me hell lot of problems on reliability and quality front. Don't know if that's the reason I am in love with my Pulsar.

Coming to the profits front I always felt that sooner or later Bajaj will reign over HH in terms of sales and profits both because of their approach towards R&D and trying to do it alone. As for TVS I hope they don't get lost in the race but unless they repeat this 100% success story year after year their better then good bikes will really not matter and to make matters worse I think their PR/Advertising is doing a really lousy job.

not taking sides or anything. not even saying bajaj earns more because of low quality spares. but overall in general bajaj should improve thier product quality.

Does Hero Honda pay Royalty to Honda for bike/engine manufactured? If yes, then that will bring down HH's profits by a big margin.

Yes, HH does pay royalty.. which ranges from 5-8% depending on the model. But that can't bring down profits by 40%... coz, they have always been paying that, it's nothing new. The problem is raw material prices, and HH is not able to pass them onto customers.. just look at last two years.. how many times did Bajaj increase Pulsar/Discover prices.. a lot of times, I guess.

One more thing is previously Bajaj always used to price the 100/125cc variants along the lines of splendor and then HH used to reduce the price to drive Bajaj out of competition, but now Bajaj has turned tables on HH by pricing Discover above Splendor.. so now, HH can't cut prices and at the same time can't increase the price as well!! tricky situation for them..

TVS needs to sell good number of high end products to maintain profits.. apart from Apache 160/180.. they don't have much in that category.. where as Bajaj has entire Pulsar series which sells a lot.

Real Test for Hero will be to maintain no 1 position after 2014..
