        In both cases, you don't only pay for the raw materials & prod. cost, but you also pay for the R&D done on them.

        "You look at a bicycle and at first glance, it looks very simple, but once you start delving into its engineering you can see that it's just as complex as a racing car", says McLaren's senior stress engineer of Applied Technologies, Jonathan Heal.

        "We're all enthusiastic cyclists, we all want to ride the bikes and we all know how it feels to ride a good bike, so there's a big enthusiasm in McLaren to do this," says Bradley in reference to the design team.
