    Harley Forty-Eight Video

This is the Harley's New Bike in the Indian Stable. This one looks sweet with a fatter front tyre and low cafe drag bars.Dealer installed the screaming eagle exhaust on this one.

I remember seeing the '48 in the movie "Wild Hogs", where Dudley ended up trading his Sportster for a 48 with the Del Fuegos' leader, only to find that it was some other 48... Anybody remember?

Looks can be forgotten for the bigger engine I believe. After all, being a Cruiser lover itself is a message, that we love to cruise/ ride, more than anything else.. and 400cc is a big difference to change opinions. Whether the top end or low end, the 400 extra cc's will matter!

Key differences between Iron 883 and 48:

            Engine: Iron=883cc, 48=1200cc
            Ground Clearance: Iron=120mm, 48=100mm
Seat: Iron=big, 48=small (both are single seater)
            Fuel Tank: Iron=12.5L, 48=8L
Tyres: Iron=100/90-19, 48=90B16 (only front ones)

The seating position in 48 is completely different from Iron, because of saddle height and forward foot controls. Though both look similar, just because of the same sportster family.

            On-road price of 48 in Bangalore: 10.2 L

Alright, 317cc instead of 400cc. But my point was clear I hope. You must have read where I said "we love to cruise/ ride, more than anything else". Which means, just get the macro idea from the numbers and then forget the numbers!

(OT: Mods, can anyone tell me what happened? Recently, Xbhpians have starting bumping up old threads a bit more than usual.)

48 is a CKD. If you can stretch for 48, much better option would be to go for Dyna CKD by stretching a bit more .

don't like the glide that much, wish the iron was a 1200cc but then you have the nightster to choose Hmmmn. the nightster feel like its a CBU cause the price is 10lacs ex showroom, thats 1.5lacs more then the 48 sportster..
