That won't happen. Lasers are a sort of high intensity lights. That should not let anything be deposited on its lens/ source.

But I wonder how much more lean should an engine get?
Already Maruti 800 (old model) gets hot once you travel 150-200 kms at moderate speed. And the new model runs even leaner. Even Pulsar 180 shows its heat in 50 kms itself.

Is going lean the only objective? What about the cooling?
