  • Aprilia RS4 125 first ride!

The all-new four-stroke Aprilia RS4 125 is being launched at the Vairano test track in Italy, and MCN web producer Liam Marsden is at the launch of the new bike. After a session on the RS4, here are his thoughts.

"From a distance, the RS4 looks almost exactly like the RSV4 superbike, which its styling is based on, it's not until you get up close and notice all the space underneath the fairing that you realise it's a single-cylinder four-stroke 125. Once on the bike it continues to deceive - giving the feeling of a a full-size bike.

"The big talking point about this bike though is the all-new four-stroke engine. As you'd expect the motor is nowhere near as powerful as the previous two-stroke engines, but once above 9,000rpm the motor is surprisingly good. Around this handling circuit the bike - which is shod with Pirelli Super Corsa SC1s - is great fun, turning in sharply and holding the line you want all the way through the corner."

specs : News Details - Aprilia

other than headlamps, the design is great!not sure whether it will do good in India.power and fuel efficiency would matter a lot.India has tough competitors under 250cc segments, but such bikes can definitely score over for design and built quality.

            cheers.

I so wish this thing comes to India..I wouldn't for a second mind downgrading to a 125 cc bike.

Why can't we have bikes like this in our country? Even a 1.5 lac tag will make it a hit among enthusiasts.

              Sadly,It won't be coming..

                  6 speed gear box.

                  300mm front disk.

                  USD forks.

looks almost EXACTLY like the RSV4.

                  sweet!

haha... it's priced at over 2.9 lac in the US.

about 40% MORE than the Ninja 250R costs there.

first... you'll have to convince Aprilia that there a few thousand motorcyclists who are willing to buy a 125cc bike for over 3 lac.

man this is so good.......so good looking.......looks like a big bike.....nice design, specially in giving it a big bike feel.

i wonder if these will ever make it to india,

or least our indian manufacturers take a cue from these bikes and design accordingly, i wouldn't mind a similar looking bike with P220 engine underneath....btw any news on revamped pulsar line up.

I guess, the prices haven't been announced as yet.Seems you are taking the RS125 price as reference.
But then,I didn't know that the RS125 costs this much! Thanks for sharing..

2.9 lacs in US means nearly 6 lacs in India.

Aprilia's been sensible to not to launch this thing here..

It's a direct competitor to Yamaha YZF R125.
Should have under 15 PS Power and big sportsbike type looks and the price is close too.

They say that above 9000 rpm the motor is surprisingly good. So, what's the redline here?

I think you guys should wait for the Duke 200. Coz its the closest we can get to this bike in India, at least technically if not looks wise.
