if the numbers in the original post are true then it wont help him much after a fall from 10000 feet

Although... I am really impressed with the concept of a hover bike... why did anyone not think of this before?

i always use to think...to build something like this.

              however, i have certain doubts--
              • if it is based on the principal of hovercraft, a fan for forward thurst is required, but that is missing, moreover, it is not possible to get a lift to reach 10,000 ft as mentioned in article. so, this configuration is rules out.
              • other, option is that build it on the principle of helicopter, which seems more likely, by looking at the pictures. the tail rotor is missing, so counter balancing force to prevent the machine from rotating on its own axis is not provided by tail rotor, but by using two main fans rotating in opposite direction of each other, to counter act the spinning forces. but using helicopter like fans to get lift and then move ahead, rotor blade angle needs to be changed in flight and that is the main control. designing this inhouse is a great risk. reliability of design and reliability of parts is what your life hinges on. one more thing, i am worried about is in helicopter the center of gravity and center of mass is below the fans, on this bike it is not so, so it appears to me right now that, it is a bit unstable. what will happen if this bike tips over on one side.

one more thing, can anybody tell, in india, do we need a pilot's liscence to fly a micro light aircraft.?
