  • Spied: Bajaj's Alternative Fuel Bike

Two Wheelers in India is known as "Common Man's commuting Life Line" and in these days when the petrol prices is leaving many bankrupt and affecting other things in Common Man's Life, Bajaj's research seems to be only answer to this major petrol price crisis right now.

Last day at a Pro-Biking Service center me and my friend Prakhar discovered Duel-Mode CNG and Petrol bikes being tested. The four bikes were supposedly given to some people for their reviews and problems faced by them. On further enquiry we got some hints about the bike launching soon enough to stun everyone.

As we were talking to the engineers we were strictly asked not to take pics but just to give you guys a hint about how this look like and what is this about Me and Prakhar spied some pics

Said to return above 100km for every kilo of CNG. I asked this ques to one of the tester who uses this bike for almost 60km a day.

The CNG cylinder is situated under the tank in front of it and is made up of strong alloy and said to be safe even if put into fire.

A switch to change the fuel mode...

Super happy! Somebody in bajaj has finally realised that Boxer as a brand could be revived!!! atleast for the rural markets... wow!

100km per kg of CNG. Its really an amazing FE & the two wheelers would then be far more economic than before & after considering the low price of CNG in delhi (around 18) the sales would reach a sky high figures.

CNG tank is of 5KG only. Rest is space for petrol. It was hard to even take out the phone in front of those guys. Still managed to click some pics because of prakhar's expertise in spy work. Actually the camera was VGA. Sorry for the quality. :-)

One advantage with Bikes is tat alternate fuels like CNG wont hamper the performance too much coz of their light weight ,,Unlike in cars where there is a major difference in performance ....

This news is doing rounds for a long long time.. whatever the bike is.. but they are certainly testing alternative fuel versions is clear. May be they are still ironing out the glitches in the product.. would be a great launch for commuters and eco-friendly too!!

With petrol prices hitting the roof, this could be a feasible alternative
