Well friends, it seems we are still far away from a world free of chinese maal but that's not the emphasis of my message. The emphasis is on the great idea behind it by UNICEF/ erangers.
It's very much possible having emergency (if not mainstream) ambulances made out of bikes, and our Royal Enfield can serve as a great donor bike for such a purpose.
Also, such ambulances can be used in rural areas with lesser space requirements and cost.
How much should an Ambulance cost? Even a Middle segment car costs above Rs. 4 Lacs nowadays. So, does a "bikambulance" for Rs. 1.5 Lacs or so sound sense? It sure does to me.

good news, but designed in UK and built in south africa.........how come it is chinese? --even if the owner is chinese, this can still be a better product.

and yes we can have these in india too, not only using bullet, but other bikes too.

        1. Chinese are not that low in technology as we percieve, they have world's fastest computers and fastest bullet trains and did some one thought bikes are complex than these ?
        2. There's no doubt, 2Ws are hell lot convinient !! There's lot of scams behind Ambulance services, in AP/K'taka, for every person transported to Hospital by 'Free Ambulance' Govt pays Rs.800/- or so to the private fleet owner, they in turn pay commission for the favor. In cuba, medical svcs is at doorstep, doctor comes to you (mostly on a cycle, not even a bike)!!

DID: Oh the day is saved!
amBULLet: Wait, I think I lost my engine oil... I will be back with a new block and piston, hang in there patient!

            Hilarious man! Lol!
This amBULLet sounds like some sort of Super hero. Let's rename him EnfieldMan!

Anyways, we have more torquey bikes now, like Karizma. Karizma can pull the sidecar with the patient and the medical equipment requirements.
And to add to the context, karizma is cheaper than RE bikes, thus presenting a great deal for Hero Honda as well as the government.

@ vipin: Wait! Did you say fastest Bullet Trains? Are you referring to China or Japan?
