Firstly i was talking about The current phase.Originally posted by j4zb4 View PostOh yes that explains the 4-8 month waiting period for the activa since the last 5-8 years... hmmm...
As for the Activa yes it is obvious the waiting period has been an issue since Honda was riding two boats at once in this country with HMSI and HH.
Activa is a time tested machine just like the classic Splendor. Almost everyone eyeing the scooter market in this country puts Activa on their "choice of scooter to buy" list.
Even the Twister has the same waiting period.
Anything priced competitivel less(affordable for the average Joe) from Honda always attracts more people like bees in honeycomb.
Honda didnt have enough output capacity at their existing plants to match the amount of customers.
Honda is expanding its portfolio now since it moved away from HH
They are expanding their manufacturing plants in India as of this year for a reason. There are 2 (or even 3/ not sure about the third) plant in the pipeline starting from this year(one of which might go full throttle this Dec as stated by the company)
So i think people should cut them some slack and stop being CynicalLast edited by Nithesh; 07-21-2011, 10:12 PM.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

According to a few other websites, it seems the 2012 CBR's design will be based on the VFR model just like the 250R. But they are just that "rumours"Last edited by Nithesh; 07-22-2011, 08:25 PM.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

N650R= GBP 5999 (In India, around Rs. 5 Lacs on road)Originally posted by Nithesh View PostMy bet is on the CBR600F(maybe the end of next year? :P )
Should be easily around 4-4.5lakhs(tops) and is obviously going to be wayy cheaper than the RR by a mile
CBR 600F= GBP 7055
There is a difference of more than 1000 G. B. Pounds. I see it being priced around Rs. 6 Lacs on road, if and only if the Honda give it their best effort and nothing less.
Still yes, it beats the RR by miles, you're right about that.---

Some good discussions going on. I dont see any chance HMSI would pitch it in the 4.5-5 lacs category (unlike what Nithesh said), coz it currently retails for 7055 GBP which corresponds to a shade under 6L. So, 6L is the magical figure what they should aim at.
Less than that, say 5.8 or 5.9 lacs, and they have half the work done.

We know that CBR 250 is produced here, while CBR 600F is not expected to be completely produced here.---

well if they can produce cbr250rr in india why not produce cbr600f in india
if they have facility to produce cbr250rr logically they can produce cbr600f or cbr600rr in india
@j4zb4 honda will get 600cc bike in end of 2011 or early 2012 100%Last edited by captain koli; 07-23-2011, 01:08 PM.
