Overall HMSI has a market share of about 13-14 per cent in the country's two-wheeler market.
The reports also stated that HMSI is in the process of increasing its manufacturing capacity to 4 million two-wheelers a year with a new plant in Karnataka, up from 2.8 million production capacity across two manufacturing bases in the country. The reports quoted Makato Yoshii, Operating Head, South and West, HMSI as saying that the company already has over 2,000 bookings of its newly launched CBR250R.
