  • Million mile women riders!

Voni Glaves at 64 and Ardys Kellerman at 79 are two real life 'superwomen'. A million miles on motorcycles can't be done by anyone less than 'super' eh! These two 'girls' have been at it for decades and have more riding miles between them than probably most of the high-milers on xbhp have put in together .

Ardys Kellerman in fact was the winner of the BMW 100,000 mile prize in 2006 when she rode more than a hundred thousand miles within a year on her BMW, doing 80116 of those miles within a six month period between April and October. Which after some simple maths works out to about 700 kms a day for six months consistently!! People even half their age either wouldn't, couldn't or shouldn't be doing this .

Read on about these two gutsy grandmas at these links:

Why on earth would you ride so much? Doesn't it get boring after a while? I mean seriously.. 700km/day for 6 months is waay too much.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I'm wondering where she was riding for 700 Kms a day...everyday
Or is she working for globetrotters or something
