One of my friend who worked for Bajaj front design Rode the bike few months ago and told me it was Freaking awesome.... It takes it to another level cuz of the Looks...

Told me do When you actually look at the bike in real time it look stunning and has the beast look.....

Im planning to swith over from the idea of buying CBR 250r to KTM 200

I am most impressed by the way the 200 Duke has been turned out. Beefy and chunky where it matters and devoid of any unnecessary bulk.

No "Full Fairing" means 5-10 unnecessary Kgs have been shaved off. The 125 Duke makes 15 Ps with a 125 cc engine.. with a 200 cc and a light weight body the KTM 200 Duke will certainly be out and out fun machine.

Guys, I believe it should be around 20-21 PS power and not more.
The YZF R15 proved to us that all the technology added on top of our existing technology, gave them barely 3 PS (17 PS in a segment whose bikes make usually 14 PS) that too at cost of some low end torque.

When Pulsar 200 made some 18 PS, we can surely expect a realistic around 21 PS figure, right? Tuning might make it +-1 bhp at most.
Frankly, I don't expect it to beat the 22 PS figure, although it can definitely show hard performance in front of both the CBR and P220...

I don't like the design though, although you might find likers for this...

It should have launched at India first or atleast with Malaysia...Common its a Indian made bike and still we have to wait for the Auto expo...

I hope it is received with good response!

Just told this to my friend who is out to but a new bike. His first reaction was, "never heard of this company, would rather go for Hero-Honda!"

These are the customers Bajaj must target for! Go Bajaj!

Sorry Sunil bhai... but I would disagree with you on this.... the GT650 is live and kicking some serious performance butt.. it's still here and would survive to be here.
I just talked about the intentions, the timing of the launch N650 didn't coincided with the launch of GT650 for no reasons, IMO.

The 200 Duke has only been shown/unveiled in Malaysia. Deliveries will start only after 2012 there.

Well there are some stats available on the web.
Those mention 18bhp... which is pretty neat for the light weight machine!

But seriously Malaysia getting a launch way ahead of India.... that sucks, especially after all the wait! Disappointed!

Went through the Malaysian website which broke the news of the launch.. but its looks like its not a real launch. Deliveries in Malaysia will only start after 2012. That means after the announced India launch.

P.S: Ok just noticed that the thread title has been changed.

18 bhp from a liquid cooled, 4 valve, 200 cc..?? That would be proportionately miniscule than the 15 Ps that the 125 cc Duke makes.

I too have started daydreaming of fitting "Sirac" Type tyres and getting a Dual Purpose (Arai XD3 Type) of helmet to go along with the mini Duke.
