@ranjithMN: Good review. But i dont feel good about the ditching part of existing r15 v1 owner. so many have sayed these words in the view of an existing r15 v1 owner. yes it may not lure the previous r15 owner, why would it? its not a different bike with higher capacity ; but look through the eye of a future buyer who has never owned r15, he is getting much better bike then previous generation isn't it? lets say if every xbhpians have a chance to take home a r15 and they have to choose between v1 & v2, what would it be? you know brother who the winner will be

Thank you.I have mentioned that it isn't worth ditching the V1Originally posted by Nilhawk View Post@ranjithMN: Good review. We have to look at the V2 from the V1 owners POV because the R15 is a segment leader as it is-its sales were always good.so the V2 with its additional killer looks and marginal increase in price was always going to be a good buy for the non-R15ers.The main question was if the V2 had any considerable improvement in performance to warrant an upgrade for V1 owners-and the answer is NO!
to me the V1 is already a classic-a machine that introduced a new level of Motorcycling in India.10 yrs from now we will remember the V1 not the V2

"Tourers will benefit from enhanced braking and high speed stability because of the bigger rear disk and wider rear tyre on the new version. However, we feel the more aggressive design and with more weight on the front, touring on this bike will be little more tiring as compared to the old model" Source
This exactly was my first impression when I took the test ride...

yes, but most of the people, i mean almost 90% who buys a v2 will ride it on the streets.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostA track bike has to be tested on the track na!
my point was that his report was based on how it performed on the track. but ours was based on how it performed on the street.
if i ever hit a track, i'd choose a V2 over the V1 anyday. but for normal street rides V1 is still as good as V2 and i couldnt find a noticeable difference between them. thats all.
