  • Ducati Unviels the 1198 along with 1098 Bayliss edition

Just when we were thinking that the Japanese struck again with the uneven firing order on the new Yamaha R1 for 2009...the Italian gaint strikes the hammer with the new 1198 and a new Limited Bayliss edition on the 1098R.

Since Yamaha Honda and other Japs decided to bring thier motogp technology to the streets..Ducati wouldnt step back..the new 1198S features a completely digital display console, dry clutch(the one used in MOTOGP) and a total bike weight of 171kg with 170bhp. Generating a 1 to 1 power to weight ratio. I thought yamaha would blow the WSBK apart but it doesnt seem easy with the new ducati lined up
And guess what.."tracton control" as standard equipment
just forgot- the 1098R LE produces 180ponies
