Hyosung needs to worry about its brand name too. If it does not build up a good brand image then reduction in costs only wont cut it.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

Setting up a permanent assembly line is good but price reduction of 25-30K is peanuts compared to total cost of bike and will not be able to make a dent in Ninja650 sales.

if hyosung is looking at further price reduction by inducting local parts, then there is another factor of quality too.

Snubbish? To me they are more like unlucky. Costs escalated since 1 year ago when we were given around 4L price tag expectation, maybe by the journalists only.

Plus, the detuning. This bike had a 80PS-capable engine abroad. Now, compared to Ninja its slower in all matters: Low end, mid range or top end. Top end is good, but got screwed mostly due to the power to weight ratio.
Plus, Ninja's price was announced later, which gave Bajaj-Kawasaki time to plan a proper price. In reply to 4.75L, they just reversed the last 2 digits to 4.57L. Another advantage to Bajaj.

Given these conditions, Bajaj had to win the war. They're a large group, compared to Garware.

I love the N650R. But as a biker, I'm really sad at GT not getting a fair chance...

N650R has some of its localized parts as far as I know
While this is not the case with GT650R so its expensive
But anyday I would prefer a GT650R over the N650R
Yesterday only I went and saw Melroy's (Melroyal on XBHP) GT650R and I went nuts over it
I wish Garware get a few parts localized so that the price goes low
I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

2011 & Present: Honda CBR 250R [Black Blade]
