    Impulse!

Now the 150cc buyer who likes to stand out from the crowd has a great choice! A big thumps-up just for this to Hero. The dirt bike is new in India and a Impulse rider will be unique atleast for few months..

The front mud-guard in black doesn't look good at all. Hero could have given body-colored mud guard like in Honda NXR which looks way better! see this side profile pic:

Also the center panel design with added silver on the Honda NXR is better than what Hero have managed. A Dirt bike looks best when it has 'edgy-styling' like a KTM..IMHO

Also note- the front brake disc is on the left side unlike most Indian bikes and trademark Hero bits: the orange-reflector on the side and the Red spark plug!

BAL sells, kwacker ninja as kwacker ninja and not some bajaj pinja or something else.

anyway no further brand wars......lets us just hope that hero moto comes up with newer and better products, so that we all bikers can benifit.
Bajaj wants to sell ninja under the name of kawasaki, its their own decision and i respect it, and i respect Hero's decision of selling honda's product in their name by paying them a HUGE royalty...

Why the hell should Hero follow bajaj's footsteps?

    BTW @the bold part

Oh yea, hard work right? you think they are magicians to develop new engine in a matter of few months of forming the company????!!!!

The problem with this entire thing is there are some people who think praising the products which are from their favorite company and criticizing every other company will make them intelligent people.
These people are called Fanboys and i hate them no matter which company they support...

    Price announced

Hero MotoCorp prices first 'Hero' branded bike 'Impulse' at Rs 66,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

    Source: Economictimes

    For comparison:

The CBZ Xtreme is currently priced at Rs. 63,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Therefore the Impulse is costlier by Rs. 3,000..!!

The Pulsar 180 at Rs. Rs.67,651 (ex-showroom Delhi) is costlier by just around Rs. 1,000 over the Impulse.

Any xBhpian going for the Impulse? Bike would be available by Diwali

If HeroMoto doesn't change the side panels, they say "they must have atleast changed it"
If they do change the side panels, they'll say " they just made cosmetic changes and launched a honda bike"
If they launch a new bike and in case it has some technical glitch, people will say, they must have spent time in developing their tech instead of releasing the product in a hurry.
If they had not launched impulse and just waited until their r&d team developed a new model, people would say HeroMoto is too slow...
