    Coming back to the topic.

The country's second-largest motorcycle-maker Bajaj Auto will invest Rs 500 crore to add capacity and develop a new variant of the flagship Pulsar over the next 18 months.
"We are investing Rs 500 crore till FY'13 for expansion. We had already spent Rs 150 crore last year," Bajaj Auto Finance President Kevin D'sa told reporters here today.
Guys, if the Rs. 500 crores investment is only made upto Rs. 150 crores uptill now, then what is the remaining amount focussed on?

We know Duke 125 is ALREADY getting manufactured well and good. And we know newer Pulsars share a lot of things with Duke...

So, could it mean that the added investment is on a "yet all new" Pulsar, like a Pulsar 250 or something else? Which might not even share Duke 125's parts?

Just guessing though... Because 500 crores is comparatively a big amount.

Generally capex expenditure is meant to be for capacity expansion. As we know from KTM - Bajaj agreement, they are going to develop engines ranging from 125cc to 350cc.. So, there is no way all new pulsar is going to be outside this agreement.

Time for some real leaks. Some intention leaks like those with the R15 v2 would have more customers standing in line.

yup.....unlike yamaha...bajaj is not intrested in that kinda publicity stunts..

I disagree with the "unlike Yamaha" part.

Even Bajaj has been testing Duke 200 (which maybe the new Pulsar after look changes) around Pune, and many other cities. Pics have also leaked. So, Yamaha and Bajaj are similar in this aspect of testing bikes on road.

I feel both companies are JUST testing their respective products. But if someone snaps them and gives them free publicity, why would they deny it? Of course, too many leaks can kill the excitement, so it should be limited and controlled.

Disagree, with Yamaha it was a clear case of deliberate attempt to gain publicity/hype before R15 v 2.0 launch. That's why we got pics all over the net with a bit of blurr on R15, so that people couldn't make out whether it's R15/R17/R25. In Bajaj's case it's just testing happening at various places. Besides, it was already known that Duke 200 would look exactly similar to Duke 125. People are only waiting for specs, which anyway will not be revealed by these spy pics
