About the Discover 125 advert: Although I was surprised seeing a commuter motorcycle on a racetrack, that too on TV.
But whatever they showed in the TV advert is definitely possible. They didn't show knee down corners or any hypothetical stuff. They just showed minimal lean angles and that's definitely possible even if I'm given that bike and a vacant corner to crave. Showing the truth is good, never mind if its confusing people.
How the commuter perceives this, is entirely another matter though. Can't be bad I guess.---

^^^ From that ad, models targetted were Splendor/Passion, I didn't like the way they took pot shots on Hero Moto corp models. Earlier campaign for Disco 100cc and 125cc bikes was much better thought out. But it's apparent that they are still targetting these models at relatively younger buyers.Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

+1 I just saw the complete advert today only, and I totally agree.Originally posted by vrugonnab View Post^^^ From that ad, models targetted were Splendor/Passion, I didn't like the way they took pot shots on Hero Moto corp models. Justice being the priority before personal liking, I stress that Bajaj is wrong here.
Hero MotoCorp never displayed Bajaj's weak points directly in their adverts as far as I know.
In 2003-04, they could've shown a Pulsar being rusty framed/ broken down in the middle of a desert while a Karizma owner moving on and on. That would've highlighted some unreliability of Bajaj bikes (In 2001-03, they did have some problems I heard).
But Hero Honda (back then) didn't do it. They just focused on their product.---

A ha...! So when are they replacing my P180's silencer? Which started leaking glasswools without any tampering/ mishandling at all (at just 10,000 kms)?Towards this purpose we continuously monitor the in-use quality of our products well beyond their two-year warranty period... Recently, a non-conformance in the starter motor relays of some of our motorcycles has come to our notice."
Of all the bikes which have crossed their 2 year warranty period, has it had to be 220 DTSi, the latest version to be recalled? What about the earlier generations, supposedly having more problems like rusting/ parts failure?
Innovation is good, but they should refrain making false/incorrect statements.---
