Some 3~ years ago when 848 was launched, it was presented as a cheaper alternative to the 1098S back then. The Italian company mentioned that it is just a small factory and doesn't have the resources to make racing bikes in each and every category, and back then 848 was not promoted as a racing bike.
But with 848 EVO, and its above-mentioned subsequent update, it seems like 848 is getting more and more closer to being race ready. Let's wish it all the best.
