        This is it. HD once said they will never manufacture anything outside the US as they do not want to loose the "Made In America" tag. But then...

              If pricing is right (40 to 45 % cheaper) then there is no doubt that Indian Bikers can really make their dream true of owning a harley ( well most of them , including me ) Keeping finger crossed and hope we hear a Good news soon !!!

                Amazing news.
                Hope others follow the same route.
                If the HD becomes 40-45% cheaper then i guess Ninja will have another blow.
                Because lowest prices HD is at 5.5 and another 40% discount takes it to very close to Ninja.
                In any case, the true breed of bikes sure going to have lots of fun in coming days

                  You can do the talking only when things are going well. HD needs to win the market here and this is the best way for them.

                          I just started dreaming and its shattered . Anyways, when things comes down to 30 %, its still not a bad deal I guess . If some one can Own a Harley for 4 lakhs something, its still worth getting bankrupt and get one !!!

                            Well, I guess no & I think mislead you; Sry. I was just going through few pages & understand that the tax import for CKD is 60% & CBU is 106%. So if HD follows a CKD, hopefully that is what is possible now (and I sincerely wish for it too), that would bring down the margins to what you said. So it would be taxed only 46% + local taxes.

                              This Year seems to be bringing a lot good news for Indian Bike lovers. I hope this becomes reality soon and can find some showrooms of HD in Chennai
