Yes, I think Dio should get telescopics so that:

    Dio will have it,
    Activa doesn't have it,
and Aviator buyers will have an option. All grounds covered (somewhat?).
yes +1 on the telescopic shocks and also a front disc option in order to complete that moto scooter package...But i am still confused as to why honda showed of 9bhp figure in the spec sheet when the 2012 dio was first displayed @ the recent 2012 auto expo @ delhi...i was excited to see that kind of power from the dio at that time and was also expecting that power figure which could have given the dio a character and edge to the honda which could have made it unique buying proposition...and also could have given the new scoot some element of exclusivity from the aviator, activa twins...but alas...but nonetheless its better than sticking with the age old 102cc motor and it looks unique...n will stay unique...now its a better buying proposition than the activa in all way...and btw i am confused whether the new dio has tubeless tyres at front and rear or at the back only...?( as my 1st gen dio had only tuff up option at the back only...)

thats what even i interpreted, but is it same or something else, and how does it function exactly ??

if you look closely, only the front brake has two cables, the rear brake has only a single cable.

and if both the brakes are applied regardless of which brake lever we pull, then-
      • why do we need two seperate brake levers, because in this way one brake lever becomes redundant.
      • and how to balance braking pressure on both brakes, wht if one wheel locks.

Thats exactly why i say that it makes for a theoretically safer braking experience, in reality there are more chances of it causing disaster than of it helping.
In this system the front brake is also applied whenever u apply the rear brake, so by biking basics its safer in theory but fo it to work positive ly for the riders the system would have to be calibrated precisely and the rider would at all times have to be aware that he will be applying the front brake even when he only wants to use rear. For example: during monsoons i prefer riding slow and using only the rear brake in limited amount because of fear of skidding but here it would result in the front brake also being used and could result in a spill.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

you use rear brake in limited amount only, so only half that percentage will be applied in the front, (ie) decrease in stopping distance with out any risk involved. May be you'll use even lesser amt of brakes next time around! One can only find this system adequate or not only if he/she has found riding with the system in the real world not by debates.

To add to the confusion, This Dio has MRF Zappers up front, and TVS Tyre at the back, so you may be true here.

Jokes apart, since the text says "Tubeless TyreS" so we can assume both are tubeless. Its rare that one is tubed and the other is not.

@ About CBS: Guys, you can adjust its level OR plainly disable it... Choice is always a good thing.
CBS's the same as saree guard in a way: All critisize it but you can remove it easily so what's the problem?

Looking at the body panels one can certainly see that they are inspired by the 250R/150R's

                    I miss my old Dio

wego is equally agile and compitent except the self-start issue.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

all confusions cleared... its confirmed by the specs shown in the honda site that the new dio has front and back tubeless tyres. the new dio page has come in the honda site.

My 2004 Dio has done 50000 kms till now. Still runs so smooth!!
Just put Castrol Power One in it. She deserves it.

Might go for this Dio also.

Im still attached to my Dio which i had to sell for the CBR
I bought her home in 2006 and she lasted a good 5 years and 50000kms despite being ripped around the city and highways at 80+ kmph. And still was as good as new when i sold her.
                                Now im regretting it.

And for some reason i am not liking this new Dio. The Old dio still looks wayy better than this one. I miss the sharp lines on the body.
