Could it be that M&M sold Engines Engineering to purchase Ducati and the spokesperson wants this to be a big surprise if it matures properly?
Think about it guys: Ducati has average to good MotoGP and WSbk Presence, its not a struggling Moto3 team where riders pray just to grab race points, not podiums.
For a 7.1 Billion USD group, Ducati is quite expensive at 1.32 Billion. Its almost 20%.
So, did they sell one group to invest in another? Well, only time will tell...---

Ducati definetly needs to get its act together here in India, and it would have been a good thing if Mahindra bought it, but now since the official announcement has come i guess no point in expecting that to happen.
And the mojo seemed to have died a silent death. Wonder what happened.
I just hope their interest in motorcycle does not die.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From what I've read, the program continues as of now. Also, haven't they entered the local Italian championships with an Indian rider?Originally posted by payeng View PostWhat about Moto3 and Mahindra Racing?
I remember this flashing on our news channels some time back.
From what I remember, Engines Engineering is a supplier to many motorcycle manufacturers.
These customers of EE didn't like the fact that the majority ownership of one of their suppliers lies with a competitor (potential one, at least). There are technology transfer risks at play.
Hence, to preserve EE's business, MM sold the stake back to the original promoter.
I think, they still retain a technology partnership (similar to EE's partnerships with other motorcycle manufacturers).I like 'em Naked
Blah Blah Blah!
Reason is not automatic. Those who choose not to recognise it, can't be conquered by it.
