AVL or not, Hero doesn't really need to worry about sales, as long as they produce a reliable replacement. But, they will be in big soup if niggles crop up in splendor/passion with new engine. If they can take care of that part, they don't have anything to worry about. No matter what, there will be certain percentage of urban buyers, who will tend to go with Honda once Hero brings in their engines.

They very well might..Apart from the engine, it's also the brand name that has stuck a chord.If this partnership can bring out an engine which can do most of the things the current one does and is renowned for, it'll be worth it,and anything more will just be icing on the cake for HMC
