^ But again, a 125cc by Triumph for India, can't be a carburetted, air cooled, 2 valve full faired bike, can it? Then its costs will be high for a 15 PS bike?
Which again reminds us why Duke 125 is exported but not sold to the Indian market.

If I was Triumph, I would go for carburettion for the Indian market and Fi for abroad, rest all kept the same. Or Probably different model names.

    So... what will happen?

I have been following this news for some time now and had written to Triumph India from their Indian website. They sent me a standard thank you reply but no answers to to my specific query of dealerships and bookings - when and where. A company selling bikes from 5L upwards, taking this cavalier approach in a country where the average price of bikes is 10 times less seems to indicate that it has a lot of learning to do.

The icing on the Indian cake was removed when Ashish Joshi, the Triumph India CEO quit a few days ago.

I really hope that Triumph uses its brains and does not commit the balls-up that BMW made 2 decades ago with the Funduro. BMW seems to be a company that does not learn from even its own mistakes - instead of the lower priced G650GS, it is intro the F650 first. Talk about typical White Anglo - Saxon/ Teutonic arrogance; first the Germans and now the Brits.

I am waiting for the Suzuki V Strom to come in at about 5 to 5.5L. If it does not, then I go for the Bonneville. India is crying out for the V Strom, I wonder why Suzuki Motorcyles cannot get its finger out of its butt, stop making asinine bikes with OOT monikers and get down to business. Strange irony - they have the highest selling cars and the lowest selling bikes (out of mainstream brands) in the same country at the same time.

I am really tired of my Sumeet dry blender CBR 250, the high-revving nervous engine and the severe limitations it imposed on me on account of the type of bike it is. What I want is a deep breathing twin for long tours and a wee bit of bad road. The VStrom fits me perfectly and I really pray that some MBA in Suzuki earns his pay with the "brain-wave" of getting it to India

@prince. Will let you know when the CeeBee is up for sale
