and the question remains why do i race?

So, here Diesel means the brand. I see... I got the Ducati e-mail too. Was about to post it...

But I feel that there should be more changes than just a paintjob when a new edition is launched. Something like more accessories, extra new leathers, change of the end can's shape or location, carbon fibre parts, etc.

EDIT: There is some change compared to the normal 1100, apart from paintjob. See the page below for it, and also how to "reserve" it:

Modernity and heritage interweave in a continuous dialogue, in the most technological Monster of all time. A bike designed down to the finest details, that retains the same spirit it had when it changed Ducati forever: simple, pure and immediately recognisable.

unlike cars in bikes we get only sticker job in the name of limited edition.

p.s.=have bajaj ever had any limited edition pulsar?

Yes, you're right. I mean, no need to change the engine... They should just change seat material, riding position, etc.

OT about limited edition Pulsar: Yes, sometime in 2006 when UG2 was in market, the UG3 was initially launched in Orange color as limited edition. It had the UG3 features, digi speedo, self cancelling indicators, etc. Later they made it a production bike update.
Perhaps (can't confirm) this was the only limited edition in India with technical changes...

Apart from that, only one or two chrome finished Pulsar 220's were made and given to MTV StuntMania winners, as far as I know.

that explains the orange ug3 pulsar mystery,i saw one on road and was thinking if it was a aftermarket job.
btw have there been any white pulsar?
