No way. These electric bikes are like walking diwali, with so many lights. Yo bikes, specially their yo smart and yo speed models are much more decent looking.

Also the bikes are way to overpriced. An Ultra bike like velocity or marathon is better specced and better priced than these.

Who would want to do any thing other than 5km rides on an electric scoot with a 25km/hr top speed, and a product who is credentials are yet to be established!
But what has got me worried is that these things dont need a drivers license! We have enough problems on our roads with licensed morons who are ill educated about any kind of road sense and now we are going to see more kids on these kind of vehicles who have the least idea of road ethics!

Those kids do ride motorcycles/scooters as well! Atleast there is a limit now at what speed they can crash!

Damn kids and their parents, who think it's safe for their child to ride an activa/dio if he can stand on his feet. But I support the electric bikes, for being a cheap alternative to petrol n for being a good short distance pony. Just don't support the 'no license' policy.

meher ji, thats exactly what i feel too. I am not against e bikes, its convenient runabout and eco friendly, but I am against the no license based on top speed policy.
For that matter even cyclists who venture on the main roads should be checked to see if they have proper reflectors ont their cycles! And yes they require helmets too! They might be slow, but when a fast motorised vehicle hits, its all about relative velocity!
He he, sorry for all the OT!

these days kids riding bikes are increasing!I even saw a boy of 9th class whose mother bought him a HH passion plus!(father is in KSA) .no license and this boy is riding it for a year or so .
In another common scene is papa teaching kid son to ride motorcycles without helmet or anything -these are from kerala.
In phoren ,14-15 yrs age you will(or should I say must!) get license like newzealand and all.this way doesnot fit for India sadly.Indian traffic is uncivilized to say the least.
