      What is the use? All the 3rd grade failed mechanics employed at ASC's are screwing up the bike's engineering from all possible sides, in all possible ways at all possible times.

      Sooner or later, the so called "peak sales" is going to witness the wrath of hard truth!!!

      Isn't the bike designed in Japan? Then what has that got to do with Indian Govt awarding as if the bike was designed in India

        lol... You still not satisfied with the A.S.S. ? Yeah, the last question does put across a valid point. Why the hell is a bike designed in Japan being given the Indian Govt. Award?

          Totally agree with Aargee. Why give the award to some bike which was not made in India? Its totally senseless.

            India Design Mark is a design standard, a symbol, which signifies design quality. India Design Council grants India Design Mark after evaluating good design through a systemized process. India Design Mark is initiated in cooperation with Good Design Award, Japan

                HHmmmm...so you are still at their mercy ..till 32 K or two years ? ... keep doing the DIY to survive and ASC for warranty.

                  Former will come sooner than the latter Idiots don't know anything, will agree to nothing, over & above over confidence about everything!!! Add to that work pressure & carelessness

                  If people are having chaltha hai attitude, then this is far acceptable levels of servicing; for people who expect perfectness...this is a big let down & they've to get into DIY mode

                      but R15 also got this award, i i remember right, so is it awarded to two bikes or is there any standings like 1st, 2nd 3rd etc??

                        I think there is not set standings. They select a bunch of products that have applied for the award on a set of criteria.

                        Here is the complete list of products that bagged the award.

                        For CBR it shows as In-House Designer which is expected but for Yamaha it shows as GK. Wonder if this was outsourced or the applicant was GK?? Can someone throw some light on this???

                            Its a good design , no doubt deserves the award too. Unfortunately the bigger picture fell flat.

                              GK Dynamics under leadership of Atsushi Ishiyama designs for Yamaha. Honda have their in house R&D in Japan and Europe. Kiska designs for KTM.

                              I don't know the exact criteria for this design award. But it seems if R15 and CBR are awarded, it must be on the fact that international trends are important. Both the bikes have international styling of 2012. No detuning, modifying for us Indians. The Ninja still has an old styling.

                              Other than that we must be happy that Honda and Yamaha [and Kawasaki] did not change the bikes specially for India. Something the car makers do.
