If the duty is not paid, the customs will obviously auction those bikes.

Time to do some searching! I was ignorant! [:0]

BTW, my present mech (one of the two RD mechs in town) maintains/deals in a lot of superbikes. Got to see an R1, a Honda Shadow, a Suzuki VF750 (or something like that, it was an 80's bike) in the past one week. The Shadow and the R1 were for sale (both used). They both went for 5 lakh each. Sigh! - MAX.[B)]

if all the duties plus the penalties are not paid, then these
bikes will be auctioned in 90/120 days. These adverts appear
in major newspapers but u have to look hard to find where they are placed.
If anyone wants to take a chance on his luck...Then this is the moment.

hey guys , theres no need to look out anywhere. The only place u shud look first when u read this was the date when I first posted this topic. 30th November, 2003. Its been almost 6 months since they were seized. All the bikes have been released.
