Their products are also made only for their endorsers I believe. Only John Abraham (afforded only by rich-litre bikes) and Deepika Padukone (Black & Pink combo scooterette) can use their products.
Atleast they are trying to stay in news

yamaha has been doing a thorough readiness for entry into scooter market for more than 14 months now -- so this is not a random act to stay in news
& seeing the scooter sales propelling honda to 2nd spot in terms of numbers everyone will want a share of the same piesigpic

Historically its proven if you have beauty with the perfect matching, then the strategy can bring a win win situation and yamaha bikes and after sales service is known my majority of us very well so there is a high possibility that it can bring good sales number, but at the same time women under 24 only kinda slogan can be a -ve mark and honda can win here.Comment

Scooter Range? That means more than one scooter? Hmm.. does that mean the wait for that much acticipated/speculated/rumored 250 cc (R25 or FZ-25) is getting longer?
Get the product spot on and one doesn't need to resort to celebrities to push them.. The R15 and FZ (series) would have sold equally well without John Abraham.
P.S: I would have liked the fresh Miss Diana Penty instead of Miss Deepika as the eye candy
