  • Chinese bikes may be coming to india...

    Source:Http://www.bsmotoring.com

The Chinese motorcycle invasion may not exactly have happened, but the only working Chinese two-wheeler venture in the country seems to be in trouble. China's Lifan Motorcycle group is planning to enter India on their own, after a two-year association with Delhi-based Monto Motors. While reports suggest that the Monto Motors venture is heading to a close, Lifan's idea of going independent is still in the planning and paperwork stage. In India, Monto was selling the Cosmo Blaster, a 100 CC four-stroke motorcycle, and they were also scheduled to launch a 110 CC version called the Bright. Lifan has a full range of motorcycles from 150 to 300 CC, some of which could be on sale here. The Chinese manufacturer is said to be on the list of Auto Expo exhibitors, and is expected to announce firm plans at the New Delhi event. While Monto Motors officials deny any problems with their venture, Lifan is said to be in the process of acquiring land near Gurgaon.

I read about this bike alot.

Remote Start, 100 kms/l mileage etc etc.

But we need some powerful bikes around 30 bhp, twin cylinder and so on.

they r here. Monto motors r assembling those. names cosmo blaster. I have seen a few. instrumenttation panel of the challenger, back light of the old caliber. the slanting engine like the HH splendor. it is a 125 cc bike, one down 4 up. The sound is the harshest sound i have ever heard from a 4 st bike.

Here in Punjab some dealer in Ludhiana is advertising alot about this bike.
But no one is interested I think.
            I've seen this bike.
            Too small.
Looks like this bike won't be able to move with a person sitting on it.
            Looks very week.

Moped with a tank fitted on it.[xx(]

hey, guys the chinese are comming!! but no one scared cos everyone
is quite aware of chinese products. We rushed to electronic stores when cheap torches,CD players, headphones, telecom equipment ,toys etc came but that does not mean , we are going to burn our hard earned money in cheap chinese junk. There is difference in buying items of entertainment and items of great value and passion and motorcycles come in the second category. No dad is going to buy his son a substandard bike even if it is cheap.

When the initial euphoria is gone, then it is all over for these junk companies.

I think our governamnent is good enough to impose hefty duties on these , so that they do not even start .

                        hi,
long back in september i had a test ride of this so called chinese bike-the cosmo blaster.A balle balle company, monto, has bought this bikes into india.
it has a 4stroke 100cc horizontally mounted engine, which a total copy of HH splendor, with a claimed mileage of 80kmph.it has a 4 speed rotary gear box like that of a HH street.
the riding position of this bike is similar to that of a kinetic challenger.the top speed is claimed to be 80kmph but the bike which i rode went only upto 50kmph.secondly,the vibes are not taken care of.the bike starts vibrating when revved hard.
to compensate with these problems the company has given a remote starting and central locking facility with the bike.
evn the pricing is high-38000/- or something like that.
