Its that time of the year when people shop the most. Festive season! And customers are not half as happy as the companies themselves. Sales were definitely expected to go up. The very small percentage boost is due to comparison with last year's Diwali season.
Its nice to see that despite all the controversy and trouble, Hero Motocorp remains unaffected. Earlier they announced that they will discontinue some models, then took the statement back. Something solid from their joint effort with EBR is yet to be seen, and I believe, might propel it to some new heights.
Competitors may have planned their future well, but then so has Hero.
Bajaj seems to be in a good sentiment, with exports in place, and good products is order. They still know that 100cc is the real market of this nation, and will soon come out with a real expensive product in this category. Yamaha's product line has changed, with a scooter in it now, compared to last year. TVS have nothing much to show except a Phoenix 125, since last year. Wishing them both all the best.
As far as Honda is concerned, their Dream Yuga is finally here. Dream era I mean. And while they get the basics covered with this simple no nonsense motorcycle, we can also expect a 500cc motorcycle from them soon. And that should be fun for most of us.
More companies will be added as the data becomes available.
