Founded in 1919 by Alberto Garelli. The company built race bikes to mopeds and everything in between. The most successful racing period was during the 1980s, where they won 6 world championships.
24 of the most exotic racing motorcycles will be auctioned in Paris on the 6-7th of Feb 2013. The entire collection has been kept by the current owner in a private chapel. Two important bikes to be sold in this lot are the 1963 Garelli Monza, a 50cc motorcycle. The other is the winner of the 1925 European Championship, the 1923 350cc Garelli Nuvolari.
There is no reserve price, but the Monza is expected to fetch upto 90,000 USD.
