Venu will take control of the automobile section under the Sundaram Clayton group, while Gopal will handle the Sundaram Investment group which sees to electronics, software and asset management.
The split is said to be amicable and should not have any negative effects on any of their businesses. The reason for the split being given is that the children of the two brothers are joining the business and there should not be any problems in the future.
As Venu Srinivasan had being overseeing the automobile business, no drastic or immediate changes are expected in the near future.
